Civil unrest brewing?
« on: March 14, 2012, 02:45:13 pm »

In my current fort, dwarves have had enough spare time on their hands to get married, make friends etc.

Checking my nobles screen, I notice something interesting..

My expedition leader has a grudge against my 1st militia captain.
Said militia captain has 4 grudges, against the expedition leader, against my master weaponsmith (guess he doesn't like his masterwork steel crossbow), and 2 more civvies (who happen to be close friends with the expedition leader).
My 2nd militia captain sets a personal record: He has 6 grudges! Against the militia commander, the weaponsmith and 4 more civvies, 2 of whom are the same as with my 1st milita captain's grudges.

Obviously, my 1st and 2nd militia captains are planning a coup against my expedition leader and the militia commander. Or perhaps, it's just plain old drama. Both militia captains are close friends with my expedition leader's wife.
My expedition leader also sets another personal record for me; he is a true polytheist, being a follower of 5 gods.

I'd probably just set some levers about and allow nature to take its course.

"Civil unrest?"  No way, this is the makings of a new soap opera.

To deconfuse myself:
  • Expedition Leader's wife is having an affair with Captain 1 (and Captain 1 is obviously jelous of Leader)
  • Expedition Leader knows about it and so is upset at Captain 1
  • Captain 1 assumes Expedition Leader confided in a couple of people (maybe wife hinted that, since Captain 2 also doesn't like those people)
  • However, Captain 2's affair is not yet in the open, so neither party are mad at him, yet.
Sounds like the problem is the wife  ;D
