I'm trying to mod in stone hammers. So far so good, except that my military is now sparring with ☼sandy clay hammers☼. How do I make it so that they can only use actual stone?

Dying (ceasing to be alive) is also not a Moodable skill. Even totally unskilled Dwarves seem to do it correctly.

[HARD_ITEM_MATERIAL]

Alternatively, if you don't mind being restricted to "sharp" stones, you can just add [CAN_STONE] to the weapon and you'll be able to make them at a craftsdwarf's workshop (just like you can make obsidian short swords). Either way, you probably won't be able to trade them to the Elves.

P.S. If you don't get this note, let me know and I'll write you another.
It's amazing how dwarves can make a stack of bones completely waterproof and magmaproof.
It's amazing how they can make an entire floodgate out of the bones of 2 cats.

Cool, I'll try those out.

Seems kind of weird that elves would object to those tags, though - any clue why?

Weapons using the [CAN_STONE] material use wood for the handles, I'm pretty sure.
