I blame the kids too.  They're sucking up all my booze.

I need to check this but I think that one tile only give one crop, not a stack of 4 or 2 as it did before DFVD.

I have definitively received a stack of larger than 1 from a farm since DFV came out.

Seeing as I tend to make a decently-sized plot for every type of crop, I have no shortage of food of any sort. In fact, I have more plants than I care for.

It feels a bit whacky though. 6 tiny-ass plots of directly-edible plants and some other plots with less direct crops should not be able to support 200 dwarves.

I also haven't noticed a drop in farm production and have more food than I could ever eat out of maybe 8 tiles of quarry bushes.

I've just noticed an increase in the migrants I get, Which in turn leads to more farms needed.
Migrants also seem to arrive with a load of kids everytime.

Yeah I play with [CHILD:3] and I haven't noticed any change to the food situation - the same "farmers and plots needed" : "population" ratio as in DF2010.

I've already lost 2 fortress to starvation/fun spiral. I think what causes this is the time taken by children to drink froma  pot/barrel.

It feels like food rots faster.  Ive been having problems with my butchers workshops and I seem to have a strange shortage of sweet pod seeds.  Its probly just all the extra children though.

I've noticed food seems to spoil a lot faster now as well, especially if it's just in a stockpile and not in a barrel/pot. I haven't checked the raws for differences, but I suspect it has something to do with the seeming increase in vermin that cause rot, especially the various types of flies.

What are you talking about?

Two farms, one above ground and one underground. I have a bunch of farmers and a steady income of booze and food. Heck, I've started cooking berries because they overflowed my (enormous) stockpiles.
