Ghost necromancers
« on: March 07, 2012, 01:00:32 am »

One of the necromancers who attacked my fort came back as a ghost. I can't make a slab for him, and he reanimates zombies faster than my military can kill them. Is this a bug or a feature?

I had an above ground garden built in the grounds of my castle and two young dwarves spent time socialising there over the summer and at the end of the summer they were in love. Remember those long summers of your childhood? That first kiss in the gardens while crossbows dwarves shoot goblins above your head? The rain of dead birds as the hunters get to work? Truly Spearhills is a paradise.

Bug.  What version?  I think this may have been fixed.

Ghost necromancers can't be a bug, thats just too awesome.  Didn't you read the Dresden Files?

This is DF. Anything that awesome is a feature, of course!

Is it because light travels faster than sound,
that people appear bright until you hear them speak?

It's the current one. Also, my problem with the ghosts is that they can't be put to rest. Imagine if ghost story ended with Corpsetaker reforming and throwing zombies at the heroes until everyone was dead. That's what I'm facing here.
