Updating game

Hi, I've been searching around and I can't find some post that describes how to update my DF. (if there is, you can pm me and delete this post).

  • I've downloaded the newer version (34.04).
  • renamed the folder of the last version (34.01)
  • installed the newer version
  • coppied entire content of the "saves" folder to the newer version

When I run the game he offers me to create a new world, but I would like to continue playing my last world.

As stated in the release notes, worlds generated in version 0.34.01 are incompatible with 0.34.02 and later due to a very significant save corruption bug - you'll need to start ver.
