Of things celestial, curses and unexpected transformations
« on: March 04, 2012, 08:05:22 pm »

I don't know why, but almost everyone in Clobbered Hill worships Owba. People greet my adventurers with her name, and praise her every time I come back.

So I looked her up, she is a human goddess associated with travelers. Except that Owba is some kind of prankster and likes to torment the inhabitants of Clobbered Hill with strange curses. There was this serpent man, Slospka Flaypregnant by name, living peacefully in a small hamlet, disguised as a cheesemaker. For some reason, the villagers don't mind the fangs, nor the hissing, nor the poison dripping on the tavern's floor. Except that this reptile cheesemaker has a dark secret - once in a full moon, Slospka is transformed into a koala-like monster and goes on rampage. How does that look like, Owba only knows.

Now you don't see things like that in many games...

The entire content consists of senseless murder, a pile of faceless naked women and zero regard for human life in general, all in the service of the protagonist's base impulses. It is clearly a cry for help from a neglected, self absorbed and disempowered juvenile badly in need of affectionate guidance. What a sad, sad display.
