Was buying these games worth it?
« on: January 04, 2013, 12:24:42 pm »

I have bought these three games, for my PS3, recently for 9.99 apiece: Red Faction: Guerilla, Tom Clancy's End War, and Fissure.  Was it worth it?

Depends on if you have $10 worth of fun when you play them.

You need to make said elf leather into the most amazing work of art.  Embed it with every kind of gem you have, stud it with metals, and sew images into it.  Erect a shrine outside your fort with that in the center.  Let the elves know that you view their very skin as naught more but a medium for your dwarves to work on.

Figuring based on minimum wage where I am (assuming a 1 hour of work = 1 hour of fun ratio) 10 dollars worth of fun would be 1.28 hours (1 hour, 16 minutes, and 48 seconds) approximately. Based on the U.S. minimum wage 10 dollars of fun would come out to 1.38 hours (1 hour, 22 minutes, and 48 seconds).

Of course it's all based on what you value your fun at. If you want a 1 hour of work = 2 hours of fun ratio then you obviously need to double both of those times to reach the needed amount of fun time.

It would be brutally difficult and probably won't work. In other words, it's absolutely dwarven!

Red Faction: guerilla is easily worth a tenner, that game is endless fun. I had to check you hadn't bought the much crappier, much less fun sequel though. Seriously don't ever buy the sequel.

I don't remember Fissure at all, though it sounds familiar. Is it the one where you can deform the terrain with wierd weapons?

Red Faction would've been worth whatever the full price was when it launched though, which was probobly around 30 of your currency units. So I'd say yes this was worth it. Though I dunno why you're asking us when you've allready bought them?

1) Yes.

2) I just wanted Bay12's opinion of the games.

I adored Guerilla! Multiplayer was a blast too, if only it didn't use GFWL, which totally ruined everything always ever forever.

As previously stated, Guerrilla was worth it on its own. Good haul, feller. I'd have gone for it, especially since I've wanted to know how Fissure is.

I going to start Fissure when I beat Red Faction.  I've already beaten End War.  There is one slight problem with Red Faction that I am having, which I created a different thread for:  http://www.bay12forums.com/smf/index.php?topic=121344.msg3928314#msg3928314
