like i said, it would be fine if he had jumped in himself onto her location, it would have removed her from the water then he could just hop out himself and she would have been fine.

Companions can swim rivers.  They'll randomly flounder every so often and skip their turn, but they will try, and for thin (like three tiles) rivers they'll usually succeed, in my experience.  Unless they see a hippo and start shooting it.

wait how do you check your Companion's stats? I've only ever saw the desc page, and their Equipment/Wounds page...


Or did you mean reading the description to see how they're stats are "layed out"

No idea.  Just assume they can't swim.

I do really like the new "swimming" system though.  Makes rivers passable, just dangerous.  I did almost die once, when the RNG decided to screw me.  I crossed all 5 tiles, trying to get up the slope, until I just decided to go back to the side I started on.  I mean, ~15 tries got me thinking I couldn't do it.
