Limonite is an iron ore, you're thinking of lignite.

Anyway, I got a rope reed (or whatever) tunic, studded with some cut stones, a clear zircon flask (badass) and an iron hatch cover. Which was nice for a little staircase-guarding inner fortlet.

I started a new fort today with the patched version. I got a gold chain (makes for an awesome well in the hospital) and a pair of bone leggings.

In my 34.01 fort I got three possessions of three moods, though the first artifact was a bone buckler, made by one of my militia members just before I activated them (so I assigned it to her).  Don't remember the other two, but they were also bone items.

I haven't been running my 34.02 fort long enough to have moods (just started yesterday).  Hopefully I'll useful stuff, or at least not possessions.

Artifact blowguns are actually useful in a way, put them in a weapon trap and place the trap in a high traffic area for some happy thoughts. Best to forbid the trap however, message spams like crazy about no ammo.

Tell that to a woodcutter from a former fort. He was helping haul some stuff from the caverns when a jabberer jumped out at him.

*Urist McNewMilitiaCaptain hacks the jabberer in the head with his Steel Battle Axe and the severed part sails off in an arc*

He migrated to my fort with that axe. I issue steel battle axes standard for all woodcutters now.

Jabberer bone spear?  I doubt it will do much damage no?  I have it equipped on a dawrf though.  Guess I'll have to go check and see if he has any kills with it yet.

but i can imagine how epic it is to have a dwarf rush into battle whit a !!lignite shield!!, bashing goblins that spontanously combust and run back to the group, setting even more people on fire...

In my last fort I had only 3 useful artifacts: gold mace, platinum left boot (but no right, he-he) and iron shield.
Other were perfect green glass gem (seriously?), emerald crown, turkey bone door and obsidian table (partially useful, my king loved them).
Ah, and a rope reed headscarf. I've never seen these until then, despite playing for quite long time.
