I necromancer showed up as part of an ambush at my fort. I killed him with a miner (Apparently picks are good at mining out organs). What do i do with this book he had?

Nothing, though if it's about the secrets of life and death you might want to go there as an adventurer, since that'd be an easy way to become a necromancer.
