calling all legends!!!
« on: February 23, 2012, 04:01:04 pm »

i recently made my first trip to the circus as an adventurer, and although some of it was as i expected, the experience was completely unlike anything else in DF, and has made me a paranoid adventurer after all the deaths (savescum ftw) i suffered below. I undoubtedly will go back for more exploration, but i would dare to call the other great adventurers to attempt a guide to the circus. A way for adventurers to prepare for the sorrow that lurks beneath. also, list anything cool/disappointing that you discover while down there. For example, i found out that necromancy can't be used on demons. But also that being a werecreature gives you a huge advantage.... i could one shot demons as a wereape (still wielding a sword and shield) But then i turned back into a human half way down and was without armor... so what would you recomend/try/experiment and come up with a guide that will take adventurers to hell and back.. literally

you can also post your demon kill lists

Huh, when I first invaded HFS with an adventurer, my peasants lasted quite a while, then one of them thought it was a good idea to stab the fire demon that was on top of all of us, it exploded and we got incinerated. Lovely.

it seems like a lot of the abilities were fixed. i don't think webbing ever did anything, but now, i get webbed, which is essentially unconscious and i get beheaded by the webby demon. also, toady changed fire, i noticed that i can't block fireballs and that once i start, i burn till i die. maybe water will actually put you out now? ... to bad there's no water in hell.

Water put you out in DF2010 as well, it needs to be 7/7 to put out fire

but if you caught on fire, you could just run around until the fat on your hand burnt off and you would be fine.

I also wasn't able to find the adamantine longsword, which i was hoping to take back as a souvenir. i only found a single tower which i climbed to the top.
