Baby bits. Danger rooms just always turn out to be baby blenders for me.

Danger Rooms no longer work as they did in 31.xx. My fully trained Steel Armor dwarves w/ Cloak have be severely injured inside a Danger Room with medium quality spears.

are you sure that they were fully equipped.  just because you set the uniform to active doesn't mean that is what the dwarf is wearing.  If there was a previous armor on, the dwarf doens't take it off when trying to put the new uniform on.  So when assigning a new uniform, it's possible that the dwarf doesn't equip it, because they already have their weight limit for that part of the body met.

So if I switch from iron to steel, the dwarfs won't put the steel on because they already have iron on and it would put them over hte limit.  To be sure they are equipped you have to look at each dwarf and ensure they have the correct pieces equipped.  To accomplish this so there is not carryover, it's best to switch to no uniform, and let your dwarfs drop their outfits, then switch to your new uniform

Did you put any armor on your dwarves?

A single leather robe will cover the entire body.

It's cheap and it turns a danger room into a massage parlor.

You'll want cloaks, rather than robes. Cloaks offer the fullest body protection. And you can have your dwarves wear multiple cloaks at once.

From the wiki: "...robes and dresses have [LBSTEP:MAX] and so cover the entire legs. These also have [UBSTEP:MAX] and so cover the entire body. Although not the strongest armor, a leather (or maybe adamantine?) robe or dress gives you maximum coverage."

Cloaks don't cover the feet, but they can cover stuff like the throat and face I believe.

My point was that a single robe can practically cover everything, it is cheap and quick to make.  You can stick a dwarf in the training room with a training weapon and robe and get training started right away instead of waiting for a full suit of armor to be made, which can be done later.
