They only thing they don't attack is other undead, in my experience.

'Twould be a sight to see a horde of zombies drop a beast.

I've had an undead siege for over a year, which only got supplemented by a squad of goblins once in a while.
(and then there were undead elves, dwarves, humans -and- goblins)

They will attack anything living. Suddenly Bronze Colossi seem a lot more friendly.

Which promptly stands back up and lays siege to you alongside its newfound zombie friends.  I'm pretty sure I read people have seen FBs reanimate as zombies, although I don't know if that works on inorganic ones.

I can confirm it works on organic ones. I needed some leather for a fey mood, with the outside overrun by zombies I had to let a forgotten beast in. It's deadly gust annihilated my military - but I half expected it so had sealed a few dwarves in the dining room. I then unlocked the doors that held almost 200 zombies outside the fort. They flooded in, hundreds were killed by the beast but they kept getting back up. After a good 15minutes or more of hundreds of zombies wailing on it they got a kill. It promptly revived.

Oh, and invaders are certainly not safe - I regularly have kobolds and goblins joining the ranks of the undead after they get overwhelmed.
