Becoming a Desecated Corpse... I mean Mummy.

Is it possible to get turned into a Mummy? I just fought one she said something like "HOW DARE YOU ENTER MY HOUSE! I CURSE YOU"  followed with "You feel horrible." 
Well I assume it's them Mummies curse but what does that do, is it like Mummy rot and eventually I was gonna decay or did I get turned into a Mummy?

Nah, it's a modifier curse. It'll be lowering some of your attack rolls for a while to allow them to easily kill you.

actually shortly after I ran from the tomb and some how the Mummy vanished when I went back in (I think it was following me out and died in the sun or something) I was wandering around the tomb,... and stepped on a trap I didn't noticed and was killed by an Iron whip trap.

So while we're on the topic, does this curse ever go away? Or are my stats crippled for the rest of my very short adventuring career?

Yes. Also so far there is no way to become a disturbed corpse.
