I had a Human trader visit my Fortress recently. I finished up my trade, then went to bed. I got home today and loaded up my save to watch my busy little ants - er, Dwarves - scurry about, putting everything away. When they were done, there were several Capes and Shields still in my Trade Depot. Now, I didn't trade for any of this, and I sure didn't have them beforehand. My Dwarves don't seem inclined to pick them up and put them in the Armor stockpiles, either, and there's plenty of room for them.

What gives?

Could be related to the trader armor/clothing bug, where even once you trade for it your dwarves will ignore it, and it will not count towards your stocks. If you dismantle the depot the dwarves will store the items but still not use them, even if ordered to.
