Opening cages?

I bought an animal in a cage and am wondering how to get it out. Any help?

You go to the build menu, build a cage. If the cage that is built is the one with your animal in it then press [q], select the cage, and then go into the [a]ssign menu. Unasign your creature. If it isn't the cage with your creature, then assign it to the built cage. Once it is inside unasign it.
