So as you know a few days back there was a "swarm" glitch where giant creatures with the swarm tag came in huge groups of creatures with hundreds of members.

This glitch has since been fixed but it has got a few of us thinking. What if there were creatures who could swarm a fortress in huge numbers in a similar way to the giant insects?

These creatures would, like an event, appear at the edges of the map and come in huge siege-like numbers. They could either attack the fortress or simply stampede across the map. Accompanied by a message warning you of their approach. Flying creatures would be called Swarms and Walking creatures would be called Stampedes.

This would all be done by a specific Swarm tag. such as
[Swarmer:40:50:100:150]

40= Small swarm minimum size (You can find small swarms in adventure mode, but not large swarms)
50= Small swarm size maximum
100= Large swarm minimum
150= Large swarm maximum

Would be fun, but it worry about the FPS. Could possibly be solved by a much more simple pathing engine for them .

I think this is a good idea and as long as this remains a configuration option there's no need to worry about FPS since the players can adjust to match their systems. 95% of the current players on this forum will have a completely different computer 5 years now and more adjustable settings will allow us to expand the game world as our computers become more powerful.
