Building stone
« on: December 11, 2007, 11:27:00 am »

Ok so long story short I'm building a fort out of stone, and importing the stone. (Why you ask? because I can.) Anyhow I was wondering wether anyone knows which stones would be the most structurally sound for a large building project in real life.

NOTE: I realise that it doesn't matter what stone I use, I want my project to be realisitic however so I'm wondering what would be used to build it in real life. (No-one say concrete)

well, most buildings made from blocks of stone are made from granite, marble or limestone.  Now that I think about it, we need to be able to make bricks from clay at the Kiln...  or maybe just laying them out in the sun.

Ok thanks, I'll probably go for granite then. Maybe a double layer on the outside wall with marble outside.
