Pointy Shields

I was curious if spikes on objects (shields specifically, I kinda want to impale someone with one) effect weapon damage, at least in adventure mode. I figure there must be some pointy shield out there somewhere, and if not I'll see about making one in fortress mode. In the end all that matters is whether or not I can impale some goblins, making attacking with my shield finally have purpose.

Darn... I hope Toady considers adding something like this down the road. (Unless he already is, which wouldn't be too surprising...)

I think it would be possible to add in spiked shields though.

If toady made spiked decorations have an effect, imagine all of the deaths via socks that "menace with spikes".

It would be a fun addition that could affect wrestling.

Like trying to grab someone by the leg while they are wearing Iron leggings that menace with spikes, talk about ouchies.

Of course If used creatively, you could have an armor set which is ungrabable.  :D
