I came across this gem and I have no idea how long it'll last before Nintendo puts a stop to it.

Pokemon Showdown

Essentially you can make Pokemon teams and battle them online with other people. You can also go into random battles where both your deck and the enemy's are random. There's a ladder rating system as well if you register an account.

Apparently it's still very new so hey, your mileage may vary.

I haven't looked too much into it, but it looks a lot similar to Pokemon Online, so I don't exactly see the point of this one.

I am a fan of the competitive pokemons though, so I'll check it out.

As far as I know, this is the 'new' simulator semi-related to smogon, and pokemon online is less new.

I think it follows Smogon's tier list, whereas PO has its own (When I last checked, PO still hadn't put Genesect in ubers, for example)

I'd be interested in a game or two with some people here.  It's been a while though.

While I do have a team on here (I'd heard of it before this thread happened), its based on fighting a legendary-spamming younger sibling, not anything that would standup to actual competition. (its more or less a couple ice attacks and whatever i thought looked cool)

I don't really like poking man all that much to be honest.  It seems like every team is just variations on rain or sun, with the occasional sand team thrown in to mix things up.
