Copy-pasted summary:

"Become a scholar of the unseen arts. Search your dreams for sanity-twisting rituals. Craft tools and summon spirits. Indoctrinate innocents. Seize your place as the herald of a new age.

Cultist Simulator is a narrative game that lets you play a seeker after unholy mysteries, in a 1920s-themed setting of hidden gods and secret histories. Perhaps you're looking for knowledge, or power, or beauty, or revenge. Perhaps you just want the colours beneath the skin of the world.

What you find may transform you forever. Every choice you make, from moment to moment, doesn't just advance the narrative - it also shapes it."

An image from the Kickstarter page, which shows the abstracted card-game-like mechanics:

This game is the next solo project by Alexis Kennedy, the guy who made Fallen London and Sunless Sea. Looks to have the same eerie and strange feel to it. I haven't backed the Kickstarter, and in light of recent crowdfunding debacles I probably won't, but I believe it is a game worth keeping an eye on regardless.

Hm, so I've just got done with the tutorial. Any advice and where I should be investing in next? I've got some basic minerals quarries and one exotic chemical quarry and one exotic minerals quarry.

If you get some precious minerals, you can make exotic ceramics by combining precious minerals, exotic chemicals, and exotic minerals. The demand for exotic ceramics is pretty high in Beijing and probably other cities too, at least for now. You could probably make a killer profit if you get in on the market before it crashes.

3
I've built a freighter and am working on a second. Because of the absurd population of Earth's cities, selling raw resources mined on Mercury is proving pretty profitable.

4
How dangerous is space? Should I be making a fleet to protect my freighter once it's built?

5
I suppose I'll have to be careful about what I'm producing then, as the overcrowding penalties on resources on Earth are pretty high. They won't possibly be profitable if the demand comes crashing down...

6
Just started playing this yesterday. Is it just me, or do all cities on Earth seem to have way more demand on most stuff than there is supply of it? Is this intended, or is it balanced around having more players than there currently is?

Charlotte reached up towards the sky as if trying to grab something,
"That's ok. Everything is so bright though, I'm not sure how you can sleep"

Bessie grins at the sky, then stretches her arms. "My dreams are brighter!" She rummages through her pockets, pulls out a handful of pills, and swallows the bunch in one go. "Niiiiighty niiii..." Bessie falls asleep almost instantly, drooling.

8
Bessie puts out the remaining stub of her joint and throws it off the roof. "Maaaan, now i'm hearin, like... hail shattering, or somethin'. I hope weather calms down, gona need some beauty sleep soon... ya mind if I doze off up here, Charlotte?"

9
"Nice t'meet ya Charlotte! You're the first one 'ere to appreciate my goods! Though I am gona need that lollipop back once you're done"

10
"Huh, storm's brewin? I'm hearin' thunder..."

11
"Groovy, aint it. I duno what's buggin you and the others that were in that craaazy truck partay, but hopefully this'll help."

Bessie spends a few minutes enjoying puffs from her joint.

"Oh yeaaaah, didn't quite... get your name? I'm Bess!"

12
The lollipop consists of Bessie's home-cooked version of LSD (plus her hallucinogenic spit). After a few minutes, Charlotte starts experiencing psychedelic effects.

Bessie lights her joint, lying back on the roof for a better view of the night sky.

13
"Itsa special lollipop! Uh I mean... it'll make ya, like, relax. You'll see also sorta cool crap!"

14
Bessie grins, pulls the lollipop out of her mouth and offers it to Charlotte, at the same time pulling a joint from some side-pocket to fill the lollipop's place in her mouth.

15
Charlotte didn't seem bothered by the intrusion, she simply shrugged as Bessie asked her question.
"I don't really know"

Bessie sits down next to Charlotte, twirling her lollypop with her fingers. "I don' suppose you'd be up for a little somethin somethin to cheer ya up? Would make ya see even prettier stars, guaranteed!"

Bessie pauses before continuing, "Or 'least take your mind offa things...?"
