Title: Liquid Fire Mittens
Post by: Waistcoats on September 01, 2016, 06:35:35 pm
I keep having a strange bug when I start a fort. It only occurs occasionally, but one dwarf will spawn wearing either liquid fire gloves or socks, and the map will be consumed by a fireball, burning the entire surface to ash. This is more of an annoyance than anything, as everything is recouped quickly enough, but it is rather irritating to lose half a fort's population along with every animal because someone wove their socks from liquid fire for some reason.

I'd really appreciate anyone able to explain what's going on, even if there's nothing to be done about it, because I find it rather peculiar.

Duplicated raws. It causes all sorts of weird things.

Mh... yeah, please check if you have DUPLICATE in your errorlog.txt. Otherwise I have to check the fire snakes again... I did remove their liquid fire extract, but Boltgun needed it for Succubus mode, so I put it back in... but Dwarves really shouldnt have access to it.

I just want to say that this made my day. Thanks for a game with problems like these.

PS: Type "weather rain" into dfhack to stop forest fires... the rain puts them out.

Or if playing orcs or kobolds you have non-cheaty ways of stopping rain or snow.
