Title: Hey there Cthulhu
Post by: Gorjo MacGrymm on October 02, 2009, 12:20:44 pm
For Cthulhu.  I was going to put this in things that made me happy today, but that post seems derailed enough as it is.  While I am sure that our friend Cthulhu has allready seen/heard this (and probably everyone else, i always am the last.  I guess I am just slow on the uptake), I felt the need to post it here anyway.

For being called "The Stalker Song" by my sister, this is oddly appropriate.

And this thread looked like something that should have been a private message when I come in. Now, let us put it on rails for the express purpose to tearing it off.

I have altered your words, in preparation for quotation.  Prequotation.  However, I am conflicted on which of my quotes to remove to allow it in.  Perhaps the other forum-relevant quotation of yours from exactly one year ago?

Holy shi-
Yeah, replace mine if ya wish. I always wondered why you kept it for so long. This wonderment is not taking account of laziness.

Because the sentiment was and is hilarious, because that is exactly what Dwarf Fortress players do when discussing future features.  Nonetheless, the deed is done.  You better say something damn clever a year from now to keep this tradition going.

And when our great forum dies off, I shall return every year on October the 2nd to release something clever I spent the previous year thinking up.

Everyone knows that you use a dot for multiplication past fifth grade.

I don't even use dots.  Like this...

3(3)=9

But what if you need cross product and not dot product?
Title: Re: Hey there Cthulhu
Post by: Cthulhu on October 02, 2009, 03:30:12 pm
The product is the same no matter what symbol you use?

Not with vectors.

Yeah, it's what I use too, if I want to keep it 'racially' safe (the only one who use dots are Maths and Physics, the rest tell us to basically, use x, or f*ck off (Economics, hurr...)

It's not how you WRITE it, it's how you READ it.
So an x is good in quick formulas not really used in class, while a * is practically mandatory on the internet and computers in general.
The 3(3) one is good, but really, it would only appear in the more advanced levels in the middle of algrbra, where the (3) used to be something like (6/2) and the 6 used to be X...

In calculus, it can pretty much all just bugger off, cause I'm too busy attempting to wrap my head around this crud.
