Sounds like you need to go talk to a GI specialist. Between all the belly aches and what not, sounds like a recurring problem.

You would contain it by surrounding it with wall-to-wall low effort DF clones with no emergent gameplay. The sheer tedium and repetition of uninspired ideas would absorb the creative anarchy that is Bay12.

For a while.....

Yeah after about a year or two after Facebook started I realized it was just going to harvest my data and I stopped updating my profile except for the occasional profile pic.

The less you put out about yourself on social media, the better. Although in truth, that's only 30% of the ways you get gotten on your identity data.

How are people so confident in themselves? Taking selfies and posting them like that? I never could.

Maybe that's why I don't have any social media.

One of the arts of confidence is not caring what other people think. It's a skill, with uncertain pay offs. When it works, you look confident. When it doesn't, you look delusional.

My last memory of Ninja Gaiden 3d was it autosaving me in the middle of a boss fight with zero heals left.

You continue to be very helpful. Thank you.

This thing got infected, but the good news is my GP prescribed me oral antibiotics and it seems to have cleared up.
I have no idea how that happened. I have been soaking it every day, using antibiotic cream, and I haven't worn shoes since the operation/procedure.
I mean I also keep it covered with a bandage too, so I don't get how it happened. At least it seems better now.
It does not throb anymore on antibiotics and Tylenol but it used to do that all the time.

Tomorrow is a follow up with the podiatrist. Hoping for good results and I mean it still has a scab on it and no more infection that I can see. So that's good.

As I said, not giving it time to air out daily can lead to an infection. Unsure how much of that you did. And there's levels of infection. I mean.....I basically took the entire surface of the last digit of my right middle finger in an accident. (Pinched in a fork lift.) That thing took months to heal and it looked SO incredibly fugly I would have thought it was infected. And yet it wasn't and I didn't take antibiotics. Feet are just gross, I guess, and nearest to everything that can introduce bacteria. Consider that your carpets are loaded with foreign particles. Anyways, glad to hear it's not super infected and that you got stuff for it.

Thank you. Yeah the swelling was just nuts whenever I wasn't on antibiotics. Weird thing was sometimes it helped to elevate it and sometimes it didn't. I mean it helped at first to elevate it but then if I kept it up there elevated for a while it started to hurt again. Then, weirdly, it just sorta started feeling better once I put it back down after elevating the foot for a long time. I'm not brilliant but I don't get that one.

That's just blood pressure at play. Elevated and most of the blood has run out of it? Contraction. Pulls on the wound. Pain. Not elevated? Loaded with blood due to gravity, it swells pushing out on the wound. Pain.

Yeah, Sekiro getting away from the whole concept of "critical attacks" and just moving to posture, and changing parrying to go along with that, is probably the best iteration of the system to date.

Semi-related, I'm over parrying mechanics. Feels like every game has them now, and when whole bosses are built off of parrying, it feels like it's missed the point of the mechanic. Parries are supposed to be high-risk, high-reward. Not "you must do this or you lose." I just watched some indie game showcase where parrying was a core mechanic. Like, you get a shield to parry with before you even get a permanent weapon, and parrying does damage to the enemy. It instantly killed my interest in the game.

I loved Hades but I dunno, I'm just not interested in Hades 2. I think because I'm not really about the story this time. Escaping Hades and fighting your dad made sense to me; this feels like trying to put lightning in a bottle again. Mechanically I'm sure it's an upgrade. I just don't know if I really want to sit through the dialog I'm not interested in though.

Or why it can take my car up to 5 minutes to recognize my iphone despite the fact it's plugged directly in to the USB.

I think it's just good ol' fashioned marketing. IIRC Legend of Total War got his copy for free from the devs. So they probably hit up a lot of people in the scene with free copies, and probably have a competent marketing department that knew how to talk to Steam. Steam does clearly pick winners in the top banner ads. And it may not even be total wishlists but by how fast it gets wishlisted. And there could also just be plain paid placement. All that, combined with it actually looking like a decent game, can go a long ways toward shaping perception.

IIRC the biggest selling point of Banished was people starving to death in winter, and also the aesthetic of housing once your city was built.
