Title: Frozen Endzone/Cortex
Post by: Silent_Thunder on January 29, 2015, 10:38:54 am
Frozen Endzone (http://www.frozencortex.com/) (Frozen Cortex) is the newest game by Mode7, makers of Frozen Synapse. It's a rugby/football/speedball hybrid where like in Syanapse both players plan their turns at once and it unfolds in one action. The most recent update fianlly landed, adding in league support and team customization. Anyone else here play this?

Its only my eventual buy list, but I'm a bit intimidated by it as I know nothing about football, so I'm worried it might be too complicated for me.

It really doesn't have much in the way of similarities with football to be honest besides the style and look.

Saw this preview video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vw4nyhyVIqQ), looks pretty damn interesting. Don't have it yet though so I'll just ptw for now.

As Silent_Thunder said, don't worry about that. I know nothing about football and have been playing Bloodbowl for years.
Which is why I find this very interesting. It's a more tactical, less dice-rolly version of bloodbowl in sci-fi sauce. I like it.
