I swear he's doing it on purpose now.

Nobody except consoletards thinks pc gaming is dead and you won't find them here. Especially not with steam being one of the biggest moneymakers like... ever

Doing what on purpose, bro?

constant thrust = constant velocity.

I think you mean constant thrust = constant acceleration in space. =p Which is one of those things I've always found lacking with space sims. There are just so many things you can do in zero gravity environments that you couldn't do in gravity ones. Like, say, accelerate in a given direction, accelerate in another and spin around your target like he's an utter bitch. I think you'd need a seriously weird control system in order to do it, though (you'd need buttons for up/down, left/right and forward / back and they'd have to be easily reachable).

God I am looking forwards to the World of Darkness MMO.  As far as I'm concerned, being nine feet tall with claws, shredding Pentex goons and not doing afraid of anything can't come soon enough.

Have they confirmed we'll be able to wolf out?

I might get my money returned on the game. Could do with about £40 right about now. Is that offer still going on?

It doesn't seem like they're going in the direction I was wanting them to go in (ie. super strong magics), so I'm seriously not happy with it.

I have a friend who says this to me all the time. :|

It pisses me right off, especially she just shrugs off any PC exclusives I link to her or studies about why keyboard and mouse is just better for 90% of gaming genres (about the only thing that controllers are better for are things like action - ie. console - RPGs and certain platforming games).

Hell, just these exlusives of 2011 convince me PC gaming isn't dead.

I think PC gaming has been pretty much completely abandoned by a lot of major publishers, yep, but that just seems to have made it bloom even more, especially in the independent sectors of the market.

What do all you guys think?

I hope the main quest has time limits, to give it a sense of urgency, with actual consequences if you don't complete goals in time (Ex. towns being leveled, volcanoes erupting, territory being seized, people getting infected with plagues, etc, etc.).

Hahahah, yeah right.

Did you see the nerd rage after Bioware did that, seriously?

I'd love a good game with smart people and no inactives :P

I think one of the players in my current game has gone inactive, but he was a useless buffoon anyhow.

One of the troubles with games like Neptune's Pride is that there's no long-term game for winning or losing. I'm not sure how you'd represent it, however. Maybe a different race choice for players with lots of wins or something?

Personally, I'm hoping we read a rebellion against the Empire or something.

Still, though, being able to shoot AT ALL is infinitely more useful than not being able to shoot at all. Even if it would've meant a minor increase in weight / less ammo in the gun, it would've been more useful than lugging around thermal clips.

A few dwarf fort references would be awesome. Like blizzard did with Catyclysm.

Wuh?

If there's no CS, I'm definitely not buying it. Or if the CS is a useless pile of shit like Dragon Age's editor, also not buying.

Morrowind has always struck as being very similar to DnD 3.5.

Oblivion is a lot like 4th Edition (AKA WoW Version*).

*This is a name my friends and I use for 4th Edition, since (in our opinion) it's geared more towards someone who got into PnP RPGs via WoW.

Entirely true, to be honest. Especially on the WoW front. =p

I never played Oblivion without mods, though. OOO/MMM was my overhaul combination of choice.

I only have two real problems with it, 1) having to check in every few hours later in the game or risk the chance that your enemies kill half your empire (and sleeping in real life takes 6 hours, so if they figure out or attack you when you sleep, you can wake up and have a large part of your empire gone). 2) the constant betrayals and backstabs (which are prrety much mandatory and inevitable, but still)

That said, it is a pretty fun game, and i despite only playing two games, i have won them both without ever betraying somebody (since they betray me first and i promptly smash them to pieces).

I think i would play a Bay 12 neptunes pride if anyone decides to get one going.

I've not found that people can get that much done in six hours. =p Maybe if I was surrounded, they could take a star or two each, or five later on in the game, but there's definitely no chance of being completely destroyed.

I love the backstabbing. =p

We should definitely trying the B12G only game.
