Blew my fifth tire this year today... Ran over a huge rock hidden in a bunch of clumps of grass. Starting to think Jeff Bezos has it out for me, forcing me to keep buying tire tubes from him. He must've hid that rock personally. It's the most pointless racket of all time.

There's that video of him driving pretty terribly that was just released...

But like... I reject the analogy. The presidency isn't like driving a car, and I don't really think the president is the person behind the wheel necessarily. I trust Sanders to build a better cabinet, to build an administration that better reflects my principles and the direction I want the country to head.

Maybe it's because the line that stuff like this isn't palatable to the American public has been propaganda to prevent us from testing that theory all along, and now that someone like this has actually shown up for real, millions of previously non-voters are suddenly interested in politics.
Every year I come closer and closer to the conclusion that this is how you win elections. Sanders has me legitimately hopeful for the first time in years. I regret not voting for him in 2016.

Last I was paying attention, all of the major dem candidates (except maybe pete, to the extent he is one?) are showing every sign of tearing up Trump in the general. And fairly legitimately, not that "well, actually the polls are neck and neck but let's not mention that" crap. That won't be an easy or clean fight, but it's one I'm not as worried about as what comes after given how much the shitgibbon has pissed off the country.
Warren isn't polling any better vs Trump than Clinton was in 2016. Sanders is.

I'm utterly terrified of that race. I think we all should be. No one thought he could win in 2016 either. He did, it was a major upset. Confidence and playing it safe aren't going to win this and people's lives very literally depend on us making the right choice.

I'm really sorry things are so hard for you right now, though. Genuinely that's gotta be such a hard situation to deal with. I hope things get better for you soon.

Warren could actually legitimately connect to voters with reagan portraits in their living room that are rightfully disgusted by the big orange turdbaby, and despite her dweebishness at times she's far more normal and likeable than Hillary was, while Sanders falls victim too often to yelling at cloud syndrome
Trump has a very strong approval rating with Republican voters. Is it worth courting those few Republicans, or right-leaning independents, at the cost of bringing out the Democratic base?

and honestly only seems viable because he's got a dude with his brains oozing out of his ears to contrast him against standing on stage with him.
This is really uncharitable. Sanders seems viable, to me at least, because he's the furthest left candidate I've seen in my life with a real chance for winning. Do I think he will accomplish even half of what he intends? No, I don't expect any president to, but I do think his winning would symbolize a change that will give me hope in our country again. I, and many other people, are just sick of moderates using us to get elected and then forgetting about us.

It doesn't matter if she'd be a better president than Sanders or Trump though. That doesn't win elections, that's the same strategy the Democrats have pulled over and over and lost repeatedly with. She's got too much baggage, Trump would eviscerate her in a debate, and she just doesn't inspire people the way Sanders does.

Wait, what happened? I haven't been following this closely, to say the least. Last year or so Warren appeared to be hitting all the right (left?) notes with the left.
Depends on how far left you are! Especially since summer the tide has kinda turned against her. Her evasiveness on Medicare-for-all has made her pretty unpopular as well as her ultimate support of capitalism. A lot of people (including myself) think she's too centrist to win. I don't personally think she's a traitor or trying to throw the election in favor of Biden. She's an ok candidate but ok candidates don't win elections when the opponent fires up his base as much as Trump does.

Yeah I've spent the last... oh like seven years defending the good name of clam chowder on twitter. I was just minding my own business when the chowder alarm rang.

Not to be confused with the ChowderTM alarm, which lets me know if a new episode of Cartoon Network's Chowder drops.

For anyone that's mercifully ignorant as to what Clamato is, it's a mixed juice blend of tomato and clams[/spoiler]
I mostly object to that because of the Budweiser. Tomato and clam are super good together. Like Manhattan clam chowder is great.

Anyway I'd probably put fish sauce in a bloody mary. I wouldn't put fish juice in anything. Animals shouldn't have juice that's deeply upsetting.

I really like the art style... looks interesting too. Might have to give this a watch!
I really really wanted to love Tatami Galaxy, and I definitely enjoyed watching it, it just wasn't funny enough for me to fall in love with it. Should definitely be watched though as the art and characters are great. But be prepared for fast talking. It also boasts what is possibly my favorite ending song.

The way I do it is by focusing on problems and their resolutions. So each successive scene is either going to address an existing problem or introduce a new one. If I still can't figure out where to go next I typically do one of two things. Either I just start with something I think would be fun to write or I list down every possible place I could take the story, elaborate on them a bit, and then choose the one I like the best.

So if I write a scene about a husband and wife who get into an argument, and end the scene with the husband deciding he wants to become a groundhog, well there are two immediately obvious problems there to address in the next scene. It could start with his strained relationship with his wife, how it got that way, maybe change to her POV and show what she does to relieve her stress after the fight, or something like that, or I could address how he is going to turn himself into a groundhog. I could also create a new problem, such as how this affects the children if they have any, maybe their argument causes the next door neighbor to fall off a ladder while changing a lightbulb, maybe the aliens who are observing the family try to grant his groundhog wish and end up turning everyone on Earth into one. And once you have an idea for the core conflict of the next scene you're pretty much set to write it.

Nah, Aku no Hana is the show people are getting up in arms about.

Although I did consider watching Otona Joshi, but from the description of the first arc it sounds like just another "romance solves everything" anime. Like Aoi Bungaku but not as good.

I'm really surprised it's getting so much hate, because it's the only show I've had any interest in watching this season. I enjoyed the first episode well enough. The animation is a bit choppy but I didn't have any problem with the character designs. In fact, I actually like how detail slowly fades into them as they approach the camera. The BG art was fantastic and it was nice to hear voice work that sounded like actual Japanese. I don't really see what all there is to hate about the show.

Name some really well-produced games for little boys for example?
That's the point though. Most of the games targeting the female demographic are marketed towards children, and games for children tend to suck.

The majority of "girly" games I've seen or played just aren't very well made. Say what you will about Nintendogs (I don't personally like the games) those games are at least well-crafted. By contrast, most other games that would be labeled girly are little more than shovelware marketed towards preteen and younger girls. In general they're games based on an existing IP and I don't think it's sexist to point out that they're typically of lower quality. There are some exceptions, but as a rule there aren't many games marketed towards adult women.
